Holcroft has 43 years of experience as a communicator by being a journalist for more than 20 years and working for more than 20 years in public affairs. He is an author of five books and has spent the past five years with Red Raven Communications as its owner and principal.

It developed and was designated as the Canadian capital, Ottawa. He gained a good knowledge of arithmetic and writing; competence in English, French and Latin; and some drawing skills, as he was admitted at age 13 to the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. He graduated from the academy in In August of that year, he was gazetted a second lieutenant in the Royal Artillery ; by the end of the year he had transferred to the Royal Engineers.

 Mr. Holcroft has been in scouting for almost 40 years. When Australia celebrated its Centenary of Scouting in , he wrote two novels, “Only the Brave” and “Canyon.”These books were about Venturer Scouts and focused on the unlikeliest teenager becoming a hero.

His further commissions were dated: lieutenant 18 April , second captain 2 March, first captain 24 June , brevet major 23 June , lieutenant-colonel 2 Dec After serving at Woolwich and Plymouth he went in August to Canada, where he remained for nearly nine years. By was recalled from the peninsula to take charge of the works at the royal gunpowder mills at Faversham, Purfleet, and Waltham Abbey, a post he occupied with great credit from January until August , when, owing to the reductions made in the establishments of the army, he was placed on the unemployed list. While employed in the powder mills he designed a bridge on the truss principle for a span of one thousand feet, and constructed a model of it which is in the possession of the royal engineers at Chatham.

He followed up with the third book in the trilogy, “A Rite of Passage,”in His writing attention then turned to adults and the supernatural, and in , he wrote the first book in his “Afterlife” series, “Finding Thomas,” which is about near-death experiences. In , the second book in the series, “One Last Concert,” was published.

This book deals with how the spirits of those who died unexpectedly move on.

 For more than 20 years, Mr. Holcroft was a journalist working on Sydney’s “The Sun” newspaper. He also contributed to “The Sydney Morning Herald,” “The Daily Telegraph,” and “The Australian” newspapers.

Lastly, he worked for a series of mastheads for Fairfax Community Newspapers and concomitantly spent 40 years in the Australian Army Reserve, where he spent about 32 years in public affairs and communications. Mr. Holcroft joined the Reserves as a private soldier and worked his way through the ranks to become a Temporary Sergeant.

He was later commissioned as a Lieutenant and again worked his way through the ranks to become a Lieutenant Colonel with a national role monitoring junior Military Public Affairs Officers.

Looking back, Mr. Holcroft attributes his success to his determination, love of words and communication, writing and reading abilities.

He became involved in his profession because his grandfather, Monte Harry Holcroft, was a New Zealand author and journalist who wrote 43 books. He decided to follow his grandfather’s lifestyle of words; they both loved and had a passion for words and communications to get stories across. Mr. Holcroft’s uncle, Anthony Holcroft – Monte’s second son – is a New Zealand children’s author who has written more than 20 books.

 Christopher Holcroft received a Master of Arts in organisational communications from Charles Sturt University in , and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in journalism and communication technology from the University of Technology, Sydney in In years to come, Mr.

Holcroft will look into writing more nonfiction books and continue with fiction writing. He has started his sixth fiction book and will continue to write books.

Shortly after volunteering for Col. His service gained him a promotion to colonel, although Greene remained a prisoner until his release in August He quickly rejoined the Continental Army during the Philadelphia Campaign and subsequently received command of the 1 st Rhode Island Regiment.

Mr. Holcroft’s primary target audience was teenage boys, and his goal is to encourage and inspire them to enjoy the great outdoors and read via his books. His attention has now moved to adult fiction where he has begun writing tales of the supernatural in an effort to belay people’s fears of the afterlife.

Mr. Holcroft has completed his first nonfiction book about the last man to die in a New South Wales prison van, and this book is due to be published in
